Kenani B

Kenani Brandon is a professional photographer who burst onto the scene and instantly made a name for herself by capturing seven top awards at the SPA 2011 image competition including Best New Artist and Artist of The Year!

As the owner of KenaniB Photography Kenani photographs everything from wedding cakes to horse shows and enjoys the challenge each represents. “You learn the most and feel the greatest sense accomplishment when you have overcome some obstacles, nothing makes you stop and rethink things like a good challenge.” While a wide variety of subjects is appreciated, Kenani has found her passion in the senior portrait market and she focuses her creative energy and time there.

Kenani has always most enjoyed working with high school seniors who may describe themselves as “plain” or “ordinary”. Giving these clients the opportunity to realize the unique beauty she sees in each of them has become her driving force. “The most wonderful type of beauty to photograph lies deep in one’s character, it’s in their soul, a love for life, joy, tenderness, kindness and compassion…you can capture these in an image, absolutely, it is fantastically beautiful!”

With a strong background of education and experience in graphic design Kenani has a goal orientated creative process that “begins at the end.” Once an idea has formed the race is on to bring it to life and “the more outrageous the better in my opinion”. Her bold and unconventional creative approach has captured the attention of an ever growing audience of KenaniB clients and fans.

Originally from Kauai, Hawaii, Kenani now resides in a Seattle suburb with her husband of 10 years and three adorable children whom she proudly introduces as:

The MI6 agent (age 9) aka My Sidekick/Partner in Crime.
Where there are new ideas to be had, nonsense to be explored and rabbit trails to be followed…we will be there. Where our imaginations lead us…we must follow.                      In treacherous lands such as these, infested with new crafts to conquer, endless projects to start and half of them to finish, I am lucky to have this faithful and brave agent by my side.

Little Miss Logic (Age 7)
Her toe tapping can be heard by hundreds for miles around. With checklists at the ready, pen in hand and unwavering determination she keeps The Agent and I on task and grounded. If it wasn’t for Little Miss Logic we would be forever lost in The Sea of Endless Possibilities.

Captain Awesome (Age 5)
His unbridled awesomeness leaves a flustered and exasperated Little Miss Logic in its tracks. It has yet to be determined whether his super powers will be used for good or evil but one thing is for certain …he is (pause for effect) All-The-Way-Awesome (just ask him)!
